Emotionally focused couples therapy (EFT) is a type of therapy developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. It is based on the idea that humans are innately designed to connect with others, and that our emotions play a key role in those connections. EFT focuses on helping couples to improve their communication and emotional connection. It has been shown to be effective in reducing distress and improving relationships.
