Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the cost of seeking therapy, especially after experiencing a crime? You are not alone, and there is good news on the horizon! Starting January 1, 2024, the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) in Vancouver is introducing significant enhancements that will increase support for mental health care. Let’s explore what these changes mean for you and your journey to healing.
A Boost in Support for Your Healing Journey
We know that finding the right mental health support, especially after being affected by crime, can be a challenging path. The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) is going to increase the counselling rates for Canadian Certified Counsellors and Registered Clinical Counsellors – from $80 to an amazing $135 per session! This means more support for your healing journey, making professional counselling more accessible than ever.
This change is huge! If you are seeking therapy and qualify for CVAP, a larger part of your session fees will be covered. Less worry about costs means you can focus more on your mental health and well-being. It’s all about making sure you get the help you need without the extra stress.
Are You Eligible?
Have you or someone you know been affected by crime? It is worth checking out if you qualify for CVAP benefits. We encourage you to take this step towards added support. If you are wondering about your eligibility or need more details, you can give CVAP a call at (604) 660-3888 or visit their website for more information.
