Meet Dimi

Hi, my name is Dimi (she/her)

Hi, my name is Dimi (she/her). I hold a Master of Counselling (MC) degree and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (R. C. C.).  It is my belief that we heal in and through relationship. Self-discovery and healing is a journey you don’t have to take alone. I offer a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgemental space that prioritizes building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. My focus is on somatic, relational, and trauma-informed support so that you can heal your past, find relief in the present and embrace your most authentic Self.

In the face of overwhelming experiences, it’s understandable that we attempt to armour ourselves from the world using a variety of (often unconscious) protective and avoidance strategies that can eventually give rise to dysfunctional patterning. My work focuses on creating a compassionate, safe, and mindful container where vulnerable material can emerge without becoming overwhelming. My approach is holistic in nature and takes into consideration the mind-body connection as well as recent research in the field of neuroscience and trauma. I utilize body-oriented interventions (and Polyvagal-informed approaches) such as Somatic Experiencing® (SE™), Integrative Somatic Therapy Practice (ISTP™) and NeuroAffecting Touch® (NA Touch®) to help clients regulate, renegotiate, and heal rather than re-live or re-enact trauma.

I strive to create an open and inclusive environment that hones your natural capacity for deep healing. It is courageous to initiate an inquiry into the Self. I would be honoured to walk alongside you in your journey.
